Bissinger Claris Non Stick forceps

Bissinger guarantees that only high-quality materials are used for the production of our instruments. Consistent and optimum spring tension, for example, is ensured by using special surgical steel. The well-proven isolation coating resists without any problems to highly alkaline cleaning agents, so that the electrical safety of the instrument is reliably ensured. The safety plug made of high-tech plastic encloses the complete connection area, even between the contact surfaces, in order to avoid the deposit of impurities in areas which are difficult to access.

Forceps with integral irrigation are particularly suitable for the coagulation of tissue where the coagulated tissue might stick firmly to the tip of the forceps (e.g. liver tissue or when used for neurosurgical applications). The NaCl irrigation solution leads to an improved electrical contact which reduces the sticking of the tissue and thus the necessity of intraoperative cleaning of the instrument.

These forceps are made of an extremely hard and tenacious titanium alloy and are much lighter weight than forceps made of stainless steel. They are non-magnetic and, therefore, perfectly suitable for use in the presence of strong magnetic fields. To allow a better distinction, all titanium models are equipped with a black plug.

No sticking of coagulated tissue! During the coagulation of tissue the coagulated tissue might stick to the tip of the forceps. This undesirable effect can almost completely be avoided by using the CLARIS NON-STICK bipolar forceps. By using a material with excellent thermal properties for the tips of the forceps, difficult and time-consuming cleaning of the forceps during an operation is no longer necessary and reduces interruptions during work. The non-stick effect is permanently ensured and will not be reduced, even if subject to frequent sterilisation.
